JOB SUMMARY: Vice President of Global Digital Strategy and Performance Marketing

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Performance Marketing to lead and continue to build out our growth marketing, digital initiatives and channels. This strategic leadership role will be instrumental in shaping and executing our overall paid and owned media strategy, specifically focused on digital marketing, customer acquisition, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize performance marketing campaigns and maximize ROI.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Rapid Value Creation: Identify and execute immediate "quick wins" (e.g., optimizing local search for underperforming stores) to demonstrate ROI within the first 90–180 days.
  • M&A Integration Support: Lead marketing due diligence and rapid digital onboarding for newly acquired locations to quickly bring them up to chain-wide performance standards.
  • Budget Efficiency & Cost Optimization: Systematically audit spend across 550 stores to eliminate waste and reallocate capital toward the highest-performing service lines (e.g., brakes vs. oil changes).
  • Scalable Tech Stack: Build out and expand on a unified MarTech stack (CRM, localized SEO tools) that can support rapid expansion from 550 to 1,000+ stores without a proportional increase in headcount.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive performance marketing and digital strategy aligned with overall business objectives and growth targets.
  • Drive the planning, execution, and optimization of performance marketing campaigns across paid, owned, and earned digital channels.
  • Utilize data analytics and insights to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement, driving continuous growth and innovation.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns and initiatives, providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of performance and digital initiatives with broader marketing and business strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of digital marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure our digital strategy remains cutting-edge and ahead of the curve.

QUALIFICATIONS: for Vice President of Performance Marketing

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing global digital strategies that drive business growth and ROI.
  • Extensive experience in performance marketing, with a deep understanding of digital advertising platforms, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and tactics.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, able to anticipate and adapt to changing market dynamics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

OPPORTUNITY DETAILS:

  • Competitive salary and bonus structure commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and more.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a global organization.
  • Dynamic and collaborative work environment with a diverse and talented team.

Idea/Notes/Etc.

Themes I like when we talk with the candidate and if we can build into the posting…

  • "Roll-Up-Your-Sleeves" Mentality: Ability to switch from high-level board strategy to tactical execution for a single struggling market.
  • Exit-Mindedness: Understands how to build a marketing engine that adds significant valuation to the company for a future sale or IPO.

Compensation Trends (Feb 2026)

In PE-backed firms, base salaries are competitive, but Total Cash Compensation (TCC) is heavily weighted toward performance bonuses and equity/LTI (Long-Term Incentives) tied to the exit.

  • Average Base Salary: $176,675 – $245,732 (depending on PE firm size).
  • Bonus Potential: Often 25% – 50%+ of base salary based on EBITDA targets.
