Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Vice President (RVP) is a senior field leader responsible for the overall performance, growth, and operational excellence of a multi-district region within the Sun Auto Tire & Service network. This role carries full regional P&L accountability and provides strategic and hands-on leadership to Market Directors, Senior District Managers, and District Managers. The RVP is accountable for financial results, talent development, safety compliance, guest experience, and scalable execution across the region, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to support growth, acquisitions, and performance sustainability. This role will support the Southeast USA region and requires the person to live in that market, including Charlotte, NC; New Orleans, LA; Mobile, AL; Pensacola, FL; Jacksonville, FL; or surrounding areas. 

This role will have a target base pay of $200,000-$240,000 per year, plus a bonus and equity as part of the compensation package.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Regional Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide leadership and oversight for multiple districts, ensuring alignment to company strategy, priorities, and cultural standards.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into clear regional execution plans and performance expectations.
  • Serve as the senior field escalation point for complex operational, people, safety, or compliance matters.
  • Drive regional operating cadence including weekly performance reviews, bottom quartile store reviews, district leader coaching, and follow-up action plans.

 

Financial & Operational Performance

  • Own full regional P&L responsibility including revenue growth, car count, invoice margin, EBITDA, payroll efficiency, and operating expense control.
  • Analyze KPIs, dashboards, and P&Ls to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; drive corrective actions.
  • Ensure consistent execution of operational standards across all locations.

Talent Development & Culture

  • Directly lead and develop Senior District Managers and/or District Managers.
  • Own leadership bench strength and succession planning for all district and store level roles, including identification, development, and performance management of underperforming leaders.
  • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition on hiring, onboarding, performance management, and retention strategies.
  • Lead labor management strategies for the assigned region that generate strong financial results

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Drive a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Safety, HR, and Compliance teams on audits, investigations, and risk mitigation.

Growth, Acquisitions & Integration

  • Support new-store openings, acquisitions, and regional expansion initiatives.
  • Ensure newly acquired locations are fully integrated into Sun Auto systems, processes, and culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 10+ years leading multi-unit automotive or high-volume service operations with direct P&L responsibility
  • Experience leading multi-layer field teams, with strong preference to those with experience leading 75 – 150 locations
  • Proven success developing District Managers, Store Managers, and leadership teams with strong succession planning
  • Advanced understanding of P&L management, KPI analysis, and operational controls
  • Demonstrated ability to enforce policies, safety standards, and SOPs across large, distributed teams
  • Strong executive presence, coaching capability, and ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to assigned region
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED required

 

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting M&A activity
  • Experience in private equity or high-growth consolidator environment

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive travel between store locations and districts
  • Exposure to shop noise, fumes, lubricants, and temperature variations
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Visual acuity required to inspect workmanship and ensure safety compliance
  • PPE required when in service areas
