  • Supervise and develop a small team (benefits analyst and leave specialist), providing guidance and support on program execution and employee service.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for benefits administration, leave management, accommodations, and 401(k) compliance and operations.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring service quality, accurate billing, reporting, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Maintain and communicate all regulatory notices, plan documents, and benefit policies, including FMLA, ADA, and internal leave procedures.
  • Partner with external brokers and vendors on annual renewals, plan design changes, and open enrollment processes.
  • Conduct benchmarking and data analysis to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements that support attraction and retention goals.
  • Lead or contribute to benefits-related projects, process improvements, and reporting needs.
  • Develop clear, engaging benefits communications and counsel employees and managers on benefits and leave policies.
  • Identify compliance risks and develop proactive solutions to minimize company exposure.
  • Develop benefits communications and counsel employees on benefits related issues.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.

  • Team management experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic program improvement with strong executional ownership.
  • In-depth knowledge of benefits regulatory laws (ERISA, ACA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
