Senior Brand Marketing Manager

Reports to: Senior Director of Brand Strategy & Customer Experience
Background Required: 8+ years of experience in retail and brand marketing, including multi-brand portfolio management (we have 40+ brands!), rebranding, and acquisition integration.

Position Overview
The Senior Brand Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving Sun Auto’s brand growth, ensuring cohesive brand identity across multiple acquired and legacy brands, and developing strategies that enhance store performance and customer engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for brand storytelling, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Management & Promotions
Lead brand strategy and positioning across multiple acquired brands, ensuring alignment with Sun Auto’s overarching vision.
Develop and execute rebranding initiatives and promotional campaigns to drive store traffic, sales, and customer loyalty.
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality, on-brand communications and assets.
Analyze campaign performance and optimize strategies for maximum ROI.
Local Marketing & Sponsorships
Develop and manage localized marketing programs that support store-level growth and community engagement.
Identify, evaluate, and execute sponsorship opportunities, including sports partnerships, NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) activations, and professional sponsorships that align with Sun Auto’s brand positioning.
Build community visibility through regional events, partnerships, and sponsorships that strengthen Sun Auto’s local presence and customer connection.
Partner with Operations and field leadership to ensure effective execution of localized activations and sponsorship tie-ins at the store level.
Agency & Creative Resource Management
Oversee external agencies and creative partners, managing budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure effective campaign execution.
Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners to drive alignment on objectives and outcomes.
Cross-Department Alignment
Serve as a key bridge between Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other departments to align on brand, sponsorship, and promotional strategies.
Lead cross-functional meetings to ensure clarity, accountability, and consistency in execution.
Foster collaboration to drive a seamless customer experience across all touchpoints.
Store Standards & Strategy
Develop and implement consistent store-level brand standards and localized marketing strategies to address regional market needs.
Partner with store operations teams to ensure effective execution of marketing initiatives at the store level.
Monitor store performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support acquisition and new store integration, ensuring smooth brand transitions and customer retention.
New Program Support
Provide strategic brand oversight for new program launches, ensuring alignment with Sun Auto’s brand identity and customer expectations.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing assets and communication plans that drive program adoption and success.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
8+ years of experience in brand or retail marketing, including multi-brand portfolio management, rebranding, and acquisition integration.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and project management skills.
Experience in retail promotions, local marketing, sponsorships, and store openings.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical abilities, and data-driven decision-making skills.
Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and reporting.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Experience in the automotive or retail industry is a plus.
