Store Maintenance Coordinator – Retail Automotive Repair 

Compensation: $55-66K

Reports to: Senior Maintenance Coordinator 

Background Required:  3+ years Automotive Repair Shop technical knowledge and strong administrative, organization and communications skills

SUMMARY 

The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for work order assessment and dispatch, effectively prioritizing maintenance work to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. This crucial role requires exceptional organization and communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail maintenance processes and procedures.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Review incoming work orders and dispatch to appropriate vendors. 

• Follow up on open work orders daily to drive resolution timelines. 

• Communicate work order status and timelines to field leaders. 

• Conduct periodic quality control calls with stores to ensure their satisfaction with vendor performance. 

• Develop and maintain relationships with both incumbent and new vendors. 

• Follow up with vendors daily on quote submission and work order status. 

• Support the Maintenance Director with any special projects or other tasks as needed. 

• Work cross-functionally with other departments as needed. 

EDUCATION & ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS  

• Hands-on experience/knowledge of shop equipment (automotive lifts, air compressors, oil guns/pumps, etc.) or experience as an auto tech is preferred. 

• 3+ years’ proven experience in commercial facility management. 

• Experience with facility management software, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and other relevant tools. 

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

• Proficient in using computer software and applications for data analysis, report generation, and documentation. 

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to successfully multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
