Regional Operations Specialist

Currently Reports to the Director, Store Optimization  

Background Required: Previous automotive repair shop administrative and/or loss prevention experience. Knowledge of VAST POS system a big plus.

The Regional Operations Specialist, under the supervision of the Regional Operations Manager, provides support to stores and regional leadership in the areas of loss prevention, administration, and operational tasks as assigned. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Conduct physical inventories in assigned stores on a regular frequency as directed by Regional Operations Manager. 

• Verify, install, and follow up on store image/POP materials as directed. 

• Review facility needs (equipment etc.)  and follow up on FM Dashboard 

• Coordinate with Safety and Compliance teams to ensure compliance/initiatives, including conducting safety audits as assigned. 

• Completing a work-in-progress review as required 

• Reviewing loss prevention practices in stores, including cash handling, inventory controls, and facility security. Provide recommendations to Regional Operations Manager and regional leadership teams on appropriate remediation. 

• Regularly review open work reports to identify trends and make recommendations. 

Qualifications: 

• Previous automotive repair shop administrative and/or loss prevention experience required. 

• Ability to travel 70% of the time regionally. 

• Ability to demonstrate efficient use of company reports and software as required. 

• Ability to meet and maintain approved driver requirements as demonstrated by a motor vehicle record check. 

• Experience using VAST POS strongly preferred 

• High School Diploma or equivalent 

Working Conditions and Physical Demands: 

The Regional Operations Specialist will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside. The use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required when working in these conditions. 

The Regional Operations Specialist must be able to meet the following physical requirements: 

• Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building 

• Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently 

• Communicate with customers, leadership team, and shop personnel 

• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
