Overview

Market Director, Retail Auto Service & Tires 

Base location – Las Vegas, NV 

Reports to: Regional Vice President  

Base $140-160K plus 50% Bonus and Equity  

Requires: 5+ years retail aftermarket auto service sales and multi-unit operations management experience

Overview:  

 This role is part of the operational team that builds organizational capabilities that enable rapid growth both organically and through acquisition. The Market Director will plan and lead the activities of all stores within the district, including full profit and loss responsibility, while acting within the scope of company objectives and policies to accomplish regional and divisional goalsThey will be directly responsible for multiple District Managers and must be based within their market.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Direct, coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of Sun Auto Tire & Service including multiple store locations (10) and 2-3 District Managers in this growing market, providing general business counsel and operational guidance.  
  • Collaborate with District Managers and Store Managers to develop and maximize results in their respective markets while maintaining a consistent customer experience and operational compliance.  
  • Act as the primary point of contact for corporate cross-functional business units, interacting with multiple internal stakeholders (Operations, Facilities & Maintenance, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, etc.) to ensure the business is moving forward.  
  • Facilitate regular business reviews and market visits.  
  • Provide support and guidance to District Managers in respect to market development.  
  • Responsible for the financial results, revenue, and operating income of the Market.  
  • Work to ensure sales and retention success.    

  

Skills, Qualifications and Characteristics:  

  • Experience as a multi-unit leader, responsible for other multi-unit leaders.  
  • Demonstrated results-oriented leadership.  
  • Financial analysis skills sufficient to interpret operating statements and other financial reporting data, manage budgets and control inventory.  
  • Outstanding verbal, written and technical communication abilities.  
  • Demonstrated professional level skills to positively motivate, overcome barriers and act as a champion/change agent for continuous improvement.  
  • Possess self-motivation, business acumen, in-depth analytical skills, strong detail orientation and execution skills necessary to efficiently and effectively complete projects and manage priorities.  
  • Desire and ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and dynamic environment.  
  • Ability to lead by listening and understanding the team.  
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the willingness and ability to be the voice of the solution, react appropriately under pressure and the ability to mentor others.
