Warehouse Operations Associate  

In-Office Role - Cape Girardeau, MO 

Reports to National Distribution Manager 

Compensation: $50-60K

Background Required: 3+ years administrative or office management experience in a hands-on fast paced environment. Solid working knowledge of Excel.

The Warehouse Operations Associate is responsible for supporting the daily operations of our tire warehouse and ensuring that all administrative processes related to receiving, storing, and shipping inventory operate efficiently. This role will support the Warehouse Manager and Assistant Warehouse Manager and cover for them when necessary. 

 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage order processing, purchasing, incoming sales and dock offices.  
  • Manage the loading dock traffic to ensure that orders are received and stored efficiently and that orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time.  
  • Shipping and Receiving Documentation: Organize and enter data into our WMS related to shipping including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and shipping invoices 
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to process orders and print appropriate labels and paperwork  
  • Sales - Respond to and process online orders 
  • Procurement – process orders and ensure timely delivery 
  • Maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. 
  • Provide support for overall warehouse team 
  • Answer phones 
  • Print packing slips and shipping labels for all outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with delivery specifications.  
  • Assist in labeling of products as needed.  
     

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in administration and data entry roles 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.  
  • Proficiency and/or ability to learn warehouse management systems (WMS)  
  • Proficiency in Excel required 
  • Experience with MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Experience using VAST highly desirable 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 
  • Knowledge of inventory control, supply chain management, and shipping logistics is a plus 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks 
     

Education & Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations, administration, or printing tasks is preferred 

 

Work Environment: 

  • Warehouse setting with frequent interactions with inventory and logistics teams including working near forklifts. 
  • Office tools including computers, printers, scanners and warehouse management systems.  
  • Printing equipment for generating shipping labels, product labels, and other necessary documentation. 

 

Physical Demands: The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside. The use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required when working in these conditions. 

Candidates for this role must be able to meet the following physical requirements: 

  • Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building 
  • Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently 
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently. 
  • Communicate with customers and shop personnel 
  • Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
