$115 - $130k plus a commission-based bonus

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) to join our dynamic Mergers & Acquisitions team. This role will be responsible for supporting the execution of M&A transactions, including identifying quality acquisition targets and fostering relationships with owners. The position requires the ability to gain owners' trust to collect sensitive data on their operation to determine its fit into SATS along with the appropriate purchase price parameters. The Manager of M&A will play a critical role in helping deliver the company's growth strategy by ensuring successful deal execution across various stages of the transaction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Deal Sourcing: Lead the identification of potential M&A targets or acquisition opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to source new opportunities. Assist in negotiating deal terms, including structuring, pricing, and legal considerations, working closely with internal advisors
- Transaction Support & Execution: Assist in the end-to-end execution of mergers and acquisitions. Contacts and meets with business owners, evaluates and structures transactions, negotiates and secures a signed letter of intent, and quarterbacks the transaction to Closing
- Due Diligence: Assist in supporting and managing the Owner relationship throughout the due diligence process, including financial, operational, legal, and strategic assessments. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify risks, synergies, and integration opportunities
- Market Research & Target Identification: Perform market analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and strategic partnerships aligned with the company’s long-term goals. Develop a pipeline of potential M&A opportunities
- Integration Planning & Execution Support: Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Finance, Legal, Operations) to support Sun Auto’s integration plan and support post-merger integration efforts to ensure smooth transitions and realization of synergies
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present clear, concise reports and presentations to management and stakeholders on M&A progress, potential risks, and transaction outcomes, clearly articulating key transaction details and recommendations
Qualification and Skill & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus
- 4-7 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, or an automotive related field. Experience in managing or leading multiple deal processes is strongly preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and flexibility. Demonstrated ability to quickly build rapport and gain the trust of owners through a sometimes-lengthy evaluation and negotiation process
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing reports for executive-level stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in conducting due diligence and identifying risks and opportunities
- Familiarity with demographics, project management, and CRM software preferred
